Cashmere fibers have relatively small fineness, short length, and fewer curls, resulting in a lower holding force of the fibers in the yarn and more exposed fuzz. Under external forces, they are prone to slip from the fabric and produce shedding and pilling.
Cashmere products cannot be washed in a washing machine. Stirring cashmere products in a washing machine can cause them to become felted. So it’s best to dry clean or hand wash. The method is as follows:
1. Add appropriate neutral detergent such as shampoo, cashmere specific detergent, etc. to warm water at 30-35 ℃ and soak for 10-15 minutes. Then gently tap and squeeze with your hands, avoiding scrubbing with force. If the dirt is severe, the soaking time can be extended appropriately or directly sent to a dry cleaning shop for cleaning.
2. After washing, rinse several times in warm water at around 35-40 ℃.
